Choco loco is a shop specializing in dark chocolate, located in the old town of Basel. Due to its small-sized space and narrow street front the shop is designed to be an accessible shop display. The architectural inter- vention is therefore mainly based on three pieces of furniture which maxi- mize the display space.
On one side, the uncoiled display wall seamless transforms into a bench which is part of the shop win- dow. To adapt to the color and ma- terial of the exposed chocolate, the wall is covered with wrapping paper, whereas the counter and the window display are treated with a dark brown lacquer.
