Lounge Table Steel

The two lounge tables are designed as a contrasting pair. Whereas the main focus of consideration for one was reducing the structure to a minimum, for the other, a sculptural form was sought for the same load transfer geometry.

The lounge table steel is based on the geometry of two triangles rotated in relation to one another, which are connected with each other as a truss. This consists of six curved rods that – as if braided together – touch tangentially at the nodal points and are welded to each other at their points of contact.
